Engaging families in college planning
Is family hesitation getting in the way of college planning? One student wanted to attend college, but her mother had concerns about safety, independence, and transportation. The MA Center worked with the team to address both perspectives, including hosting an evening session where families shared real experiences. Hearing from peers helped build trust and confidence. The family became more open to exploring college options and planning. Sometimes the right messenger makes the difference and helps families imagine what is possible.
